What we collect

Your name and (optionally) email or mobile number to create your account, the questions you answer and your review history (to power spaced repetition and analytics), and a specific set of device + usage data: device model, OS version, app version, and approximate city-level location derived from your IP. We use these for crash reporting and abuse prevention. We do NOT collect precise GPS, contacts, microphone, or camera roll access. Payment is processed by eSewa, Khalti, or your card provider, we never store full card numbers.

How we use it

Only to run and improve Pragati: scheduling your reviews, generating AI explanations, showing your progress, and supporting you. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party ads.

AI explanations

When you ask PragatiAI to explain a question, the question text and your answer are sent to Anthropic (Claude), our AI provider, to generate the explanation. We don’t send your name, email, mobile, or contact details with it. Anthropic does not train its production models on this data.

Advertising

The free plan is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show them, Google receives your device’s advertising ID along with the technical data it needs to deliver and measure an ad (approximate location from your IP, device type, and which ads you saw or tapped). We never send Google your name, email, mobile, answers, or study history.

Where the law requires consent for personalised ads — the EEA, UK and Switzerland — the app shows Google’s consent form before any ad loads, and you can reopen it any time from Settings → Ad privacy settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.

Paid plans carry no ads at all, and no advertising ID is shared for ad purposes once a plan is active.

Your rights

You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Profile → Data & privacy in the app. Deleting your account anonymises your study history so aggregate analytics stay accurate without identifying you.
